Account Deletion

This page explains how buyers, sellers, and drivers can permanently delete their MandebStore accounts — from the web or in-app — and what happens to your data during the 3-month archive window before final removal.

1. What Account Deletion Means

Deleting your MandebStore account is a permanent action that removes your profile, personal information, and associated data from our platform. Once the final deletion is processed after the 3-month archive period, your account cannot be restored.

Before requesting deletion, make sure you have resolved any open orders, pending payouts, active listings, ongoing deliveries, or unresolved disputes. Deleting your account does not cancel outstanding financial obligations.

2. Who Can Delete An Account

Account deletion is available to all registered users on MandebStore, including buyers, sellers, and drivers. Each role follows the same deletion process, but there are specific considerations for each.

  • Buyers: You can delete your buyer account at any time. Any open orders should be received or cancelled first. Your order history, saved addresses, wishlist, and wallet balance will be archived for 3 months before permanent removal.
  • Sellers: You can delete your seller account once all active listings are removed, pending orders are fulfilled or cancelled, and outstanding payouts have been received. Your store information and product history will be archived for 3 months.
  • Drivers: You can delete your driver account once you have no active or in-progress deliveries assigned. Your delivery history, earnings records, and area settings will be archived for 3 months before permanent deletion.

3. How To Delete Your Account On The Web

You can request account deletion directly from your account settings on the MandebStore website. Follow these steps:

  • Sign in to your MandebStore account at the website.
  • Go to your Account Settings by clicking your profile icon in the top navigation.
  • Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page and click "Delete My Account".
  • Review the information about what will be deleted and the 3-month archive period.
  • Enter your account password to confirm your identity.
  • Click "Confirm Deletion" to submit your request. You will receive a confirmation email.

4. How To Delete Your Account In-App

Account deletion is also available directly from the MandebStore mobile app. Follow these steps:

  • Open the MandebStore app and sign in to your account.
  • Tap the Profile or Account icon in the bottom navigation bar.
  • Go to Settings and scroll to the "Account" section.
  • Tap "Delete Account" at the bottom of the page.
  • Read the confirmation screen explaining the deletion process and archive period.
  • Confirm your identity with your password or biometric authentication.
  • Tap "Delete My Account" to finalize your request. A confirmation email will be sent.

5. 3-Month Archive & Recovery Window

After you submit a deletion request, your account enters a 3-month archive period. During this time, your account is deactivated and hidden from the platform — you will not be able to log in, place orders, manage listings, or accept deliveries.

The archive period exists solely to protect you. If you change your mind, you can recover your account and all your data by contacting MandebStore support within the 3-month window and verifying your identity.

After 3 months from the date of your deletion request, your account and all associated data will be permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems. No recovery will be possible after this point.

6. What Happens To Your Data

When your account is permanently deleted after the archive period, the following data is removed from our systems:

  • Your profile information: name, email address, phone number, profile photo, and saved addresses.
  • Your account credentials and authentication data.
  • Buyer data: wishlist, cart, saved payment methods, and personal order preferences.
  • Seller data: store profile, product listings, store logo, and seller settings.
  • Driver data: delivery area boundaries, vehicle information, and availability settings.
  • Your wallet balance will be forfeited if not withdrawn before the archive period ends. Please withdraw any remaining balance before requesting deletion.
  • Some data may be retained for legal, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or regulatory compliance purposes, as required by applicable law, even after account deletion.

7. Before You Delete

We recommend taking the following steps before submitting your deletion request to avoid losing important information:

  • Download or save any order history, invoices, or receipts you may need for personal records.
  • Withdraw your full wallet balance to an external payment method.
  • Resolve or cancel any open orders, active listings, or pending deliveries.
  • Collect any outstanding payouts (sellers and drivers).
  • Save any important chat history or communication records.
  • If you are a seller, notify your customers of your store closure if necessary.
